Payout Update: Faster, Daily Payouts for Patient Checkout Payments
We’re excited to share an update designed to help you get paid faster and more predictably.
What this change applies to
Payouts of patient-checkout revenue from NimbleRx through our payment processor — Stripe, to your pharmacy's bank account.
Note: This change affects only patient-checkout payouts (the money paid out to your pharmacy for payments collected at checkout).
Effective Date
This change will go into effect on August 12th.
What's Changing
Current payout flow
- Clearance period: 7 days
- Payout frequency: Weekly
New payout flow
- Clearance period: 4 business days
- Payout frequency: Daily, on business days (Monday–Friday), excluding weekends and holidays
Important timing detail: Both clearance and payout schedules run on business days only. If a transaction is processed on a Saturday or Sunday, "Day 0" for that transaction starts on the following Monday. Clearance days and payout days only count Monday–Friday, excluding bank holidays.
Why We're Making This Change
Moving from a weekly payout with 7-day clearance to a daily payout with 4-day clearance means:
- Time-to-cash cut by 3 days — your funds clear faster and reach your account sooner
- Daily payouts instead of weekly — you're no longer waiting a full week between deposits
- No days without payment — money moves into your account every business day instead of in one lump sum
This directly addresses feedback we've heard from pharmacies: payouts have felt unpredictable, and it hasn't always been clear when money would land during the week. Daily, business-day payouts are designed to make your cash flow more consistent and easier to plan around.
What to Expect
- Because payouts now happen daily instead of weekly, each individual payout will typically be a smaller dollar amount than what you're used to seeing in your current weekly payout.
- You will, however, be receiving payouts far more frequently — every business day — rather than one larger payout once a week.
- Total amounts paid out over time are not changing — only the frequency and size of individual payouts.
What Happens If You Do Nothing
No action is needed if this change works for you. You'll automatically transition to the new daily, business-day payout schedule with 4-day clearance on the effective date above.
If you'd prefer a different setup, here are your options:
- Don't want daily payouts? Reach out to your Client Partner to discuss alternative payout frequency options.
- Want a longer clearance period? 4-day clearance is now the new standard minimum — clearance periods shorter than 4 days are not available. However, if you'd prefer to keep a 7-day clearance, you can opt into that with your Client Partner.
If You Have an Accounting Team
If you report payout or billing activity to an internal accounting or finance team, please loop them in before this change takes effect. Since payouts will shift from a weekly lump sum to daily deposits, their reconciliation process may need to be adjusted to match the new cadence.
