Nimble Points: Nimble's Patient Rewards Program

Nimble is launching a patient rewards program called Nimble Points. This article explains what it is so your team can answer patient questions confidently.

1. Overview

Nimble Points is a rewards program owned and run entirely by Nimble. There is nothing for your pharmacy to set up, manage, or fund. If a patient asks about the program, it has nothing to do with your pharmacy's pricing or discounts.

2. How It Works for Patients

Patients earn Nimble Points by completing engagement actions in the Nimble app — things like downloading the app, turning on push notifications, and birthday bonuses. Points are not earned by filling prescriptions.

Once patients accumulate enough points, they can put them toward gift cards to outside retailers like Starbucks, Amazon, and Target. Rewards are never applied as discounts at your pharmacy.

3. What This Means for Your Pharmacy

  • Nimble owns and runs the program — your pharmacy is not involved in funding or managing it
  • Rewards are gift cards to outside stores — not discounts, credits, or free medications at your pharmacy
  • Your pricing, copays, and fees are completely unaffected
  • There is nothing to configure or turn on in your dashboard

4. Frequently Asked Questions

A patient is asking about their Nimble Points — what do I tell them?

Let them know Nimble Points is a rewards program run by Nimble, not your pharmacy. For questions about their balance or how to redeem points, they should contact Nimble directly or check the Nimble app.

Will rewards affect what patients pay at my pharmacy?

No. Rewards are gift cards to outside retailers and have no impact on what patients pay at your pharmacy.

Do I need to do anything to participate?

No. There is nothing to set up, opt in to, or manage. The program runs entirely through the Nimble app.

A patient thinks they should get a discount at my pharmacy because of their points — what do I say?

Let them know that Nimble Points can only be put toward gift cards to outside retailers like Starbucks, Amazon, and Target — not discounts at your pharmacy. If they have further questions about their points, direct them to the Nimble app or Nimble support.
