Enhanced Visibility and Control in Your Communication Center
Managing patient interactions just got easier. We’ve updated the Communication Center to give you more direct control over your automated messaging and a clearer view of the patient journey.
What’s New?
- Full Self-Serve Controls: You now have the ability to enable or disable entire stages of patient communication directly from your dashboard.
Overview of Self-Serve Controls
Step 1: Sign in as the "Owner"
- Action: Log in with your primary Pharmacy Owner credentials.
- Why: If you use a regular staff login, the "Customize" button will be hidden. You won't even see the option to change things.
Step 2: Find the "Communication" Tab
- Action: Look at the Left-Hand Sidebar (the main menu).
- Action: Click on Communication.
- Result: This opens your Communication Dashboard where you can see recent SMS /? Text message activity.

Step 3: Enter the "Settings" Mode
- Action: Look at the top right of the screen for the "Communications Workflow" section.
- Action: Click the "Customize" button.
- Result: The screen will change to show three main cards (Rx Received, Ready for Sale, After Purchase).
Step 4: Toggle Your Choices
Find the specific Opportunity you want to change and use the toggle switch: Purple / On means messages are sending; Gray/Off means they are paused.
- Ready for Sale: Use this to start or stop "Your Rx is ready for pickup/checkout" texts.
- After Purchase: Use this to start or stop Refill Reminders and "Order Delivered" notifications.
⚠️ Important: Bundled Notifications
Please note that these toggles control entire categories of messages. You cannot turn off one specific type of alert without affecting the others in that group.
Think before you toggle: If you turn off After Purchase to stop refill reminders, you will also stop "Order Delivered" notifications and any other automated updates that occur after a script is marked as sold. It’s an "all-or-nothing" setting for that stage of the process.

Step 5: The "Warning" Pop-Up (If turning OFF)
- Action: If you flip a switch to OFF, a "Confirmation Modal" (a pop-up box) will appear.
- Action: Read the context—it will tell you exactly what you are losing (e.g., "Turning this off may decrease your refill rate").
- Action: Click "Turn Off Anyway" to save the change.

Step 6: Spot-Check for Errors (The Red Warning)
- The "Refill" Warning: If you turn Communications ON but "Refills" is OFF, the system will show a warning icon. This means you're telling patients to get a refill, but your system isn't set up to actually process them.

How to read the "Logs" (Diagnostic Tool)
If you want to see if it’s working, look at the "After Purchase" logs on your dashboard:
- Pharmacy Action: Shows the exact time the prescription was marked "Sold."
- Nimble Action: Shows the specific refill reminder text that was sent (e.g., it will now say "Refill Reminder" instead of a generic "Post-purchase" message).
What happens next?
Once you hit save, an alert is sent to the Nimble team. You don't need to do anything else; the changes happen instantly for all future prescriptions.
